Creating socially conscious films and integrating them with a commercial viable base has always been a passion for Nova Golonka, cofounder of Stained Iris Productions. After finishing at the ASP in Wroclaw, Poland she moved to Los Angeles in order to Produce and Edit under those standard. In 2002, Nova started working with Pisces Moon Entertainment with A. Raven Cruz as a co-Producer, finishing the feature film “La Mode,” and creating a large clientele for other films, commercials and infomercials. This partnership prompted both filmmakers to startup their own production entity under the name Stained Iris Productions.

Focusing on establishing a multi-media production facility, Stained Iris created several projects, including the award winning short “Making Moments,” a music video for The Calling, and most recently the feature film “The Helix Loaded.” Experienced with handling low budgets and transforming every cent into cinematic magic and big-budget appeal, Nova made the impossible happen by guiding the 60 person Helix crew on a 300+ fx shot heavy, no-budget set.

Joining her Producing mindset with Editor techniques and passion, Nova has created amazing advertising material, cut three feature films, and most recently finished the Dvd-Rom for Visa’s Ideas Happen scholarship campaign.

Currently, Nova is creating a new production model by which three feature films will be produced back-to-back allowing for a steady flow of amazing films. The projects are “Dark-Light”, “Marc n’ Cleo” and “Seven Shadows.”
